Best Ways To Reuse The Waste Water Of RO Water Purifier

RO Water Purifier has become a mandatory appliance in almost every household of India. Through the Reverse Osmosis process, all the bacteria, soluble salts, heavy metals, and other impurities were filtered by the RO membrane so that you will get pure and safe water eventually.  However, one disadvantage of this purification process is that a huge amount of water is wasted.

  • Wash the car: To wash a small hatchback car, you need at least 14 liters of water, in case you are using a bucket. You can easily wash your car with that water. Check the TDS level before washing and if it in between 1200-1500 PPM you can safely use it. For higher TDS, you can dilute it with plain tap water.

  • Wash Utensils: It is a great and most convenient way to use the reject water of the RO purifier as this activity will happen in the kitchen only. You can collect the water in a bucket near the sink to clean them properly.

  • Wash laundry: For the daily laundry it is a great way to reuse the water. You can store it in a tank near the washing machine and connect them together. It is advisable not to wash the delicate garments.  

  • In The Toilet: You can easily use the water to flush the toilet or clean the bathroom fixture in the reject water, the level of impurities is quite high as the RO membrane has filtered the pollutants along with the water. Due to that reason, the water is not suitable to drink or even a bath. The amount of dissolved solids is quite high.
