Ajayya Kumar: A Multifaceted Leader and Author
Ajayya Kumar is a man of many talents and passions. He is an art curator, a COO of a technology company, a film producer and an author of several books on management, parenting and entrepreneurship. He is also the founder and chief curator of Sarvamangala Arts Initiative, Sarvamangala Trust and Sarvamangala Productions, which aim to promote art and culture in society.
Ajayya was born in Cherpu, Thrissur, Kerala, in 1970. He was the youngest of four children of a Hindi scholar and a maths teacher. He excelled in mathematics and graduated from high school with a degree in the subject. He also holds a D.Litt. in Organizational Behavior. He started his career as a management accountant at ABB, a global technology giant, in 1994. He has been conferred a fellowship from ICWAI and a Certified Management Accountant from IMA, USA. He is also a ‘Master Financial Professional’ from the American Academy of Financial Management.
In 2012, Ajayya joined Emircom, an ICT Integrator company based in the GCC, as its COO. He has been instrumental in driving the growth and innovation of the company in the region. He has also been involved in various social initiatives, such as using a rescue code for children to protect them from domestic violence. His short film Rescue code on the subject was also chosen for the Cannes Lions Festival.
Ajayya is also an avid reader and writer. He has authored several books on topics such as business, parenting, entrepreneurship and cinema. Some of his notable works are Business Gita, Mindful Parenting:The Art of Guiding Children to Success, Formula-G : Scale Your Startup to a Growth Machine, Nalla Amma Nalla Achan and Nethruthvavikasanam 21 Loka Cinemakaliloode. He also hosts a podcast series called Being Ajay where he shares his insights and experiences with his listeners.
Ajayya is also a patron of art and culture. He is the founder and chief curator of Sarvamangala Arts Initiative, Sarvamangala Trust and Sarvamangala Productions, which aim to support and showcase various forms of art and artists. He has also produced some critically acclaimed films such as Burning and Dammy.
