The beautiful places in the world, here comes The ultimate list of the 22 most beautiful places in the world. No, of course, that’s nonsense. There can be no such list. Everyone has their favorite places and there should even be people who find Munich more beautiful than Berlin. Crazy, right?

We have been traveling a lot in the past few years and have seen many wonderful places. But there are only a few that have impressed us. And we want to introduce you to exactly these places here.

So there will always be new places and places will also disappear from the list. We are also changing and maybe at some point, we will even find Munich more beautiful than Berlin. Although, it probably won’t get that far. Which places are now on the list? Good question. Simply call the places that we found particularly cool and impressive.

It can be a specific place, an entire country, a view or landscape, maybe also a restaurant or a market or a city.

So, enough of the preface. Here we go!

Myanmar

Let’s start with an entire country: Myanmar. No country has impressed us as sustainably as this beautiful country, which has long been isolated from the outside world.

There are so many wonderful places in Myanmar that we don’t want to choose a specific place either. That would not be fair. Bagan, the city of temples! Or Mandalay with its extraordinary temples and the longest wooden bridge in the world.

Or the former capital, Yangon, with the wonderful Shwedagon Pagoda. Or Mrauk U in the north, where only a few tourists get lost due to the difficult journey. As you can see, we simply cannot choose a location.

Siquijor, Philippines

The small island of Siquijor in the Philippines simply enchanted us and so it is currently number two here. If you had asked us what our dream island looks like, we would have described the island of Siquijor to you without us even knowing it.

Endless sandy beaches, almost no cars, great people, the most beautiful sunsets ever and relatively few tourists – hey, we want to go straight back.

New York

We love New York! If you have read our About Us page, you know that Jenny also lived there for a year after graduating from high school. Since then, the city has burned deep into its heart.

In 2018 we were the first together in the city, we felt very comfortable there and decided to stop by at least once a year from now on. Sounds ambitious, doesn’t it? Let’s see if we can do it.

If you have never been to New York, we can only warmly recommend a visit to the city. If you love cities, you will love New York.

Berlin

Berlin should not be missing from our list, of course, because this, for us a very special city, has been our home since 2009. The city sometimes drives you crazy, but at least as often, it puts a smile on our faces.

We got to know each other in Berlin, spent much too hot summers and far too cold winters together. There we also decided on a gray October evening to completely change our lives to be able to work and live from anywhere in the world.

And yet, when we arrive at Berlin Airport, get on the S-Bahn and the Berliners are simply Berliners, we know that we are at home.

Wolf on the Moselle & Erfurt

It is wonderfully tranquil here and we always like to come back and enjoy the peace and the great landscape. And of course the wine. And gräwes (mashed potatoes + sauerkraut), wild boar sausage and roast spit.

Basti is from Erfurt, one of the most underrated cities in the world. The old town is just wonderful, there is a very lively cultural scene, the most beautiful Christmas market in Germany and the best football club in the world. What more do you want?
