Sahara had 10 crore people who kept their money with them. These people were very happy to hear that on July 18, 2023, the Union Cooperative Minister Amit Shah will introduce something called the Sahara Refund Portal. This portal will help return the money to the people who had invested it with Sahara, and their investment time has ended. All the information about getting the money back will be available on this Sahara Refund Portal. The reason they are doing this is because of a decision made by the Supreme Court.

The Ministry of Cooperation asked the highest court in the country, the Supreme Court, to help people who put their money in the Sahara Refund Portal and the Sahara Credit Cooperative Society Limited, along with other similar groups. The Supreme Court told the CRCS (which is probably a department or agency) to collect Rs 5,000 crore to give back to these people for what they invested.

On March 29, the government made a promise to return money to 10 crore investors of these four Sahara Group cooperative societies within nine months. The Supreme Court ordered Rs 5,000 crore to be taken from the Sahara-SEBI refund account and given to CRCS (Cooperative Refund Coordination Society).

The Ministry of Cooperation asked the Supreme Court to support the investors of Sahara Group cooperative societies. In response, the Supreme Court ordered CRCS to pay Rs 5,000 crore to the investors.
