Vivo has finally confirmed that it is gearing up to launch the Vivo ZX smartphone in India. We previously came across some exclusive information regarding the upcoming handset and now, it’s confirmed that the Vivo ZX will launch in the country in September at PM. The company has also announced that the handset will be made available via Flipkart in the country. It seems like the device would be targeted at mobile gamers as the company says, “The ZX is designed for consumers that are performance-oriented and love playing heavy density games on their handset.”

While Vivo has refrained from sharing any additional information about the Vivo ZX, more info about it has been revealed in a teaser video. The company has posted a video on Twitter, which confirms the presence of an in-display fingerprint sensor and a triple-rear camera setup on the device. The video also showcases the upcoming smartphone in its entirety, which can be seen with a dewdrop notch display design and a gradient rear panel. While there’s no official info about its specifications, we already have an idea of what it could offer from some previous leaks and reports.

The Vivo ZX is touted to be a mid-range smartphone with an MP primary sensor for its triple-rear camera setup. As mentioned, we previously reported that the smartphone would be priced under Rs, in the country. There’s also a possibility that the Vivo Z that the company recently launched in China could be rebranded as the Vivo ZX. Vivo Z features a .-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with an x p resolution and is powered by the Snapdragon SoC. Backed by a mAh battery, which supports .W Flash Charge fast charging technology, the handset runs on Funtouch OS. based on Android Pie.

The Vivo Z sports up to GB RAM and up to GB of internal storage.  The handset gets a triple rear camera setup that features an MP primary sensor with an f. aperture lens, an MP secondary sensor with a wide-angle f. lens, and a third MP sensor with an f. aperture. The company might rebrand the handset to launch it in India, but this is pure speculation right now. In addition, the rumored smartphone is said to not be a successor to the Vivo Z Pro that the company launched in India last month.

BBK-owned smartphone brand Vivo has announced the launch date of its second Z-series phone in India. Vivo has also started teasing the Vivo ZX via online channels. As per the company’s latest tweet, the handset will come equipped with an in-display fingerprint sensor. The company, however, has not said anything about the upcoming phone’s price. But it is speculated that the Vivo ZX will be a mid-range phone. As confirmed by the company earlier, the handset will be available exclusively via the e-commerce website Flipkart.

For those unaware, Vivo introduced a new ‘Z’ series of smartphones in the country with the launch of Vivo Z Pro. The handset was launched in July this year and comes with a starting price of Rs,. The company then pitched the phone for ‘Generation Z’ and was aimed to compete with the likes of Honor, Xiaomi and others. Vivo ZX Pro, however, will not be the successor to Vivo Z Pro. Instead, the company is pitching Vivo ZX ‘for consumers that are performance-oriented and love playing heavy density games on their handset’. To recall, the Vivo Z Pro smartphones offer a .-inch FHD+ IPS display, runs FuntouchOS based on Android Pie and packs GBGB RAM paired with GB and GB of internal storage. The device comes powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and features a triple camera setup at the back, comprising of MP+MP+MP sensors. For selfies, the Vivo Z Pro boasts of MP camera at the front and is backed by a mAh battery.
